B8.5 is going to have considerably less issues than the other 2, the reliability difference between the b8 and b8.5 is huge. My dad had a c7 a6, replaced the entire engine and trans and the car still didnt work because of some computer problem Edit: that was also a long time at an audi dealer, but they couldn't ever get it driveable
I am a little confused though between the B8 and B8.5 chassis naming convention. What qualifies as a B8? What qualifies as a B8.5? What does the 2015 model fall under? What parts (aftermarket) work on the 2015 model? Has anyone started to tinker with the new 2015 yet?
The bumper in the picture will fit because it is a B8, The actual B8.5 will "fit" everywhere except your tail lights, where the pre-facelift tails will appear slightly recessed. Best bet is to go with the B8 S5 bumper. Or you could get the B8.5 bumper now, upgrade to the Facelift tailights, and install both together.
The B8 Audi S5 is muscular Teutonic Sports Coupe, offering something in between a Mustang and a S4, Audi's 2-door entry to the German coupe category is pretty darn good out of the box. Unfortunately, like any new Audi product, there are a few nagging details that need to be sorted for the Audi S5 to be the best it could possibly be.
TSI is also direct injected.. the B8 engine have variable valve lift, that's the main difference. B8 uses IHI turbo while B7 uses K03. B7 2.0TFSI is the same as the 2.0TFSI in A6 C6 (EU) B ( has newly developed engine but it's also 2.0TFSI, non of them are TSI. But both TSI and TFSI are direct injection.
